Mid-Lauderdale Volunteer Fire Department members are equipped and trained to respond to various types of incidents and offer other public safety services to our community.
MLVFD responds to residential and commercial structure fires, vehicle fires, and outdoor fires such as brush or grass fires.
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS
MLVFD responds to motor vehicle accidents involving injuries or road blockage. Our members are trained in vehicle stabilization, patient care, and crash victim extrication.
MLVFD performs preventative inspections of residential and commercial structures within our jurisdiction and offers guidance to property owners to minimize fire risk.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES
MLVFD provides first response basic life support (BLS) services with a focus on delivering effective, high-quality patient care. Many of our members are Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technicians.
FIRE SAFETY EDUCATION
MLVFD offers fire safety education to the public and utilizes a smoke house trailer owned by the Lauderdale County Association of VFDs to teach children how to escape from fires.
MLVFD is equipped to respond to a number of other situations, including search & rescue operations, weather-related events, and hazardous materials emergencies.
